It seems that a 2nd century Roman glass twenty sided die was auctioned by Christie's for $18,000. The auction notes said that "Modern scholarship has not yet established the game for which these dice were used." But, we know, don't we.Seriously, this is very cool. I wonder if they made four sided dice as well. And then stepped on them in the middle of the night.
